Sit and sew: Quilted Heart

Join us at the village on February 15 to sit and sew handmade fabric hearts to hide around our community! This is a come and go event, so stay as long as you like and work on your basic sewing skills. After the class, you may place hearts in a public place to be found by a random stranger to brighten their day!

Would you like to participate in this project? It is sew sow, so simple:

1. Sew It:
Create a unique handcrafted heart.
Attach a tag listing the web site and, “I Need A Home.”

2. Sow It:
Put it in a public place to be found by someone you don’t know.
Think of clever places where someone would not be expecting to see a quilted heart.

3. So It: Can find a new home!
Enjoy the thought of the heart being found by a complete stranger. Check back to the I Found A Quilted Heart page and see if your heart is reported as “found.”

Please feel free to bring extra supplies including: fabric scraps, buttons, trim, thread, scissors, etc. As always, these events are FREE to attend. Donations are not only accepted but VERY much appreciated!
