Dedicated to preserving history and heritage, Millard's Crossing Historic Village brings the past to life through restored buildings and interactive exhibits. Our mission is to educate and inspire visitors of all ages about the rich cultural heritage of our region. Join us in our efforts to safeguard our history for future generations.
This delightful reconstructed historic village is located in Nacogdoches, Texas. A unique museum complex showcases a variety of 19th-century East Texas architecture, from quaint log cabins to elegant Victorian homes, all lovingly restored by Lera Millard Thomas. Named after the railroad track that once ran through the Millard family property, the village is a testament to Texas's rich cultural heritage. Explore the early buildings, antiques, and memorabilia that tell the story of our past and celebrate the legacy of a remarkable woman who made history in Congress.

Lera Millard Thomas, a proud native of Nacogdoches, made history as the first woman from Texas to serve in the U.S. Congress after being elected to complete her late husband Albert Thomas's term. Following his passing in 1966, she returned to her roots in 1968 and dedicated herself to a remarkable preservation project. Lera worked tirelessly to save some of the county's most cherished historic structures while creating a home for her extensive antique collection. Her legacy continues to inspire the community and highlights the importance of preserving local history.
